Description
Kyoshiro Ayanokoji, youngest of the prestigious Ayanokoji family's four siblings, transfers from Jouto Academy to Academia city's high school. His aristocratic image stems from refined manners, equestrian talent, and violin-playing habit. His resemblance to the prince in Kuu Shiratori's recurring dreams leads her to identify him as that figure, though the dreams ultimately reveal repressed memories of his eldest brother, Kazuya.

Believing Kazuya perished in the "Seven Days of Hot Snow" incident, Kyoshiro dedicates himself to fulfilling Kazuya's supposed wish: eradicating all Absolute Angels. He aligns with the Central Student Government and utilizes his Absolute Angel partner Claíomh Solais, Setsuna, as a bodyguard and combatant. He treats Setsuna instrumentally, frequently prompting her habitual query, "Would you prefer that, Kyoshiro?" He gifts her a ribbon with bells which she treasures.

His encounter with Kuu Shiratori catalyzes profound change. Developing romantic feelings for Kuu, he re-evaluates his mission and the humanity of Absolute Angels. He confesses his love to Kuu, an event unintentionally witnessed by Setsuna, who displays visible distress. This forces Kyoshiro to confront Setsuna's suppressed emotions and his dismissive treatment of her.

Confrontations with Kazuya—revealed alive and orchestrating the past catastrophe—reshape his worldview. Kazuya admits causing the "Seven Days of Hot Snow" to awaken the original angel Cielo (Kuu's true form) and manipulates Absolute Angels, shattering Kyoshiro's idealized perception. Kazuya's brutality toward their sister Mika and abduction of Setsuna and other angels prompts Kyoshiro to ally with his estranged brother Sōjirō and the Morality Enforcement Squad to thwart Kazuya's plans.

Following Kuu's physical dissolution and reincarnation after merging with her soul-fragment Valteishia, Kyoshiro journeys with Setsuna to locate Kuu's reborn self. Setsuna cuts her hair as symbolic closure, accepts Kyoshiro's love for Kuu, and bids her farewell. The trio achieves reconciliation, with Kyoshiro and Setsuna discovering Kuu near the European Alps, where she retains memories of her past existence.
