Description
GBR-04 Volfogg operates as a stealth-focused Brave robot within GGG's Intelligence Division, specializing in intelligence gathering, infiltration, and protective operations. His Super-AI derives from former Intelligence Unit operative Kirio Inugami, enabling accelerated development in just three months. This human-inspired AI fosters a calculated operational approach, though he exhibits intense emotional reactions during critical missions. His primary duty remains the unwavering protection of Special Agent Mamoru Amami.
Standing 10.7 meters tall and weighing 13.5 tons, Volfogg transforms into a Ferrari F50 police car spanning 7.2 meters, reaching speeds of 630 km/h. This mode deploys Fog Gas via rear exhaust pipes for smokescreens. Core stealth capabilities rely on Mirror Coating technology, bending light for invisibility while shielding against electromagnetic interference and explosions. Additional systems include Fog Gas dischargers for area concealment, Projection Beams for holographic decoys, and the Melting Siren—an anti-barrier device adapted from Galeon's roar to disrupt Zonder fields.
Base-form combat employs the Jet Wapper grapple weapon and Silver Boomerang throwing blades. These blades upgrade into Mirror-Coated Silver Moons or merge into a cross-shaped Silver Cross projectile. For enhanced firepower, Volfogg combines with non-intelligent units GunDober and GunGlue through San-Mi-Ittai (Intense Sound Combination), forming the 21.8-meter, 18-ton Big Volfogg. This configuration integrates and amplifies all components' abilities, adding the 4000 Magnum quad-barreled machine cannon (from GunDober's exhaust) and the Murasame Sword rotary blade (from GunGlue's rotors).
Big Volfogg's signature techniques include Chou-Bunshin-Sappou—component separation for coordinated high-speed strikes—and Dai-Kaiten-Madan spinning barrages enhanced by Mirror Coating. Post-installation of an Ul-Tech Engine, this evolved into Dai-Kaiten-Dai-Madan for high-velocity spinning collisions, while Grippers enabled water traversal. Secret equipment Kit Number 08 "Utsusemi" deploys remote holograms, notably countering Sol Master Poltan in GaoGaiGar FINAL.
Operational history includes rescuing Mamoru and Hana from structural collapses, multidimensional pursuits against Zonder threats, and frontline combat against Zonder Heavenly Kings like Penchinon within the Isolde particle accelerator. He strategized against Zonder Metal production facilities and formed Big Volfogg to neutralize EI-14's forces in Episode 14, safeguarding Mamoru until GaoGaiGar's arrival. Volfogg also commands the Multi-Dimensional Intelligence Ship and Division III's battleship Susanoh as captain during intelligence operations.
