Lloyd Irving is the main protagonist of the Tales of Symphonia the Animation series, including its concluding arc The United World Episode. He comes from the village of Iselia, where he was adopted and raised by a dwarf named Dirk after being found as an infant next to his dying mother, Anna. An Exsphere, a special life-force enhancing device, is embedded on the back of his hand; it was extracted from his mother, who was a victim of the cruel experiments conducted by the organization known as the Desians.
