Banda Lotta is a 15-year-old colonist with black hair and black eyes, originating from the planet Solo. Fleeing the Buff Clan's devastating attack on her homeworld, she boards the Solo Ship as a civilian refugee. Aboard, she primarily cares for younger children—Lin Formosa, Fard Malaka, Ashura Novak, and Piper Lou—often collaborating with Lin.

The conflict fuels her deep-seated animosity toward the Buff Clan, which focuses intensely on Karala Ajiba, a defector residing on the ship. Banda holds Karala personally responsible for her people's actions. In a moment of blind rage, she attempts to assassinate Karala; in the theatrical version, this results in Banda killing Karala's servant, Mayaya. Confronting Karala directly with a weapon, Banda ultimately falters and cannot complete the act, despite Karala's acceptance of death as atonement.

During the climactic battle in *Be Invoked*, Banda stands guard as Karala's sister, Harulu Ajiba, and bodyguards Torolof and Kilarul infiltrate the Solo Ship. Amid the chaos, Banda kills Torolof using a rocket launcher. Kilarul then shoots and kills her.

Following the narrative's cataclysmic conclusion, Banda Lotta's spirit reunites with Lin Formosa and Fard Malaka in the afterlife.
