Hailing from Nagano Prefecture, his family owns a 300-year-old traditional inn, making him its heir. This heritage required extensive childhood training in traditional Japanese arts like flower arrangement, tea ceremony, and calligraphy.

He brings prior gymnastics experience from junior high, where his natural flexibility proved a significant asset. Despite this background, he did not secure a regular team position during his first year at Shiro High. His appearance features long, pitch-black hair styled with bangs partially covering his very dark blue eyes. He typically wears the team's purple and white tracksuit zipped fully to the collar, along with practice attire sporting a sports shirt marked by a diagonal red line.

His personality is collected, soft-spoken, and generally lax, resulting in a calm demeanor. He expresses quiet enthusiasm but becomes notably talkative when discussing personal interests, particularly gymnastics and flower arrangement. He shares a friendship with Keisuke Tsukidate, a member of the rival Ao High School team, stemming from their mutual interest in plants and horticulture, evident in interactions like exchanging plant care tips.

As a gymnast, he contributes to Shiro High's team dynamics through technical skills and focused performance in competitions. His role within the team remains supportive, with no indication of leadership responsibilities.
