Description
Professor Nominos begins as an elderly scholar investigating Catty & Co.'s secret history and its ties to the ancient Minerva cult. He uncovers a vast conspiracy involving Tamala's role as a recurring sacrificial figure in the cult's rituals. While presenting these findings in a lecture, agents presumably linked to Minerva or Catty & Co. assault the event, causing a fire where Nominos seemingly perishes.

He later returns in a decayed, undead state, emerging from Hate City's river with a deteriorating, maggot-infested body. Seeking out the younger cat Michelangelo, Nominos strongly implies through dialogue and knowledge that they are the same individual across different timelines. In this undead form, he reveals critical information to Michelangelo: Tamala is a genetically engineered, immortal reincarnation of the goddess Tatla. He details how Catty & Co., as an extension of the Minerva cult, perpetuates a cycle of sacrifice and rebirth to maintain power and further imperial ambitions.

His exposition covers the cult's origins, its suppression around 4000 B.C., and its evolution into a corporate monopoly controlling communications and consumer culture. He explains Tamala's recurring deaths and resurrections are integral to the cult's rituals. Despite physically disintegrating during this encounter, he conveys the cyclical nature of existence within the cult's influence and underscores the inescapable reach of Catty & Co.'s control. His revelations tie directly into the narrative's broader themes of corporate domination and eternal recurrence.
