He operates the Gekiga Tank, a component forming the lower legs within the Gekiganger III configuration and contributing to other combined forms. Akira embodies the team's "big guy" archetype, emphasizing physical strength and endurance.

Akira pilots the Rikuganger configuration, the robot's slowest but most powerful form optimized for land-based combat, prioritizing sheer brute force over speed or agility. His signature finishing move in this form is the "Musashi no Jigoku Meguri" judo throw.

Alongside Ken Tenku and Joe Umitsubame, Akira forms the team's Power Trio. Their individual vehicles combine into three distinct robot configurations tailored to specific combat requirements: Gekiganger III for aerial battles, Umiganger for underwater engagements, and Rikuganger for terrestrial warfare.
