TV-Series
Description
Ikki Tenryou serves as the central protagonist, continuing his journey as a Medafighter following prior achievements. Some time after earlier events, he meets Nae, a skilled mechanic and Dr. Aki's granddaughter. She supplies him with an upgraded Medarotch and enhanced Saikachis parts for his Medabot partner, Metabee. This technological upgrade proves essential against new adversaries wielding Death Medarots (or Kilobots), emotionless combat robots designed to win through rule-breaking tactics like unauthorized mid-match reloading.
Initially targeted by the ruthless Medafighter Ginkai and his Death Medarots, Ikki suffers early defeats due to their cheating. His persistence against these opponents underscores his commitment to the spirit of fair Robattles. Throughout this conflict, he collaborates with his childhood friend Arika and classmate Yuuzuru, who secretly operates as the "Mysterious Medafighter" opposing Death Medarots through destructive means.
Ikki develops new combat strategies against emotionless foes, notably utilizing new functionalities like Action Mode and later Demolition Mode provided by Nae. His adaptability extends to complex dynamics with antagonists; Ginkai eventually abandons Death Medarots after rediscovering honor, becoming an ally. Similarly, Ikki plays a pivotal role confronting Kokuryuu Kamizake, whose sentient Death Medabot creation, Blackbeetle, leads to his redemption when Ikki and others rescue her from experimental misuse.
References to Ikki's prior status as a World Robattle Cup finalist occur, though the narrative centers on new challenges without revisiting past allies or events deeply. Interactions with Nae suggest a shift in focus from previous relationships. The conflict culminates in a collective effort to thwart the Death Medarot Company's goals, reinforcing Ikki's role in promoting ethical Medabot use through perseverance and tactical growth.
