TV-Series
Description
Blackbeatle is a female rhinoceros beetle-type Medarot, introduced as an antagonist in the anime *Medarot Damashii* (internationally *Medabots Spirits*). Created by Kam Kamazaki (Kokuryuu Kamizake), she serves as his personal Kilobot (Death Medarot) within the Death Medarot Company. Unlike standard emotionless Kilobots with modified Medals, Blackbeetle possesses an experimental "Neo Ex Medal," granting her a distinct personality, emotions, and fierce loyalty to Kam. Her visual design features black coloring and a metallic eyepatch over her left eye, a result of surviving Kam's initial tests where she defeated multiple identical Kilobots.

Her arc centers on a desperate craving for Kam's approval, often leading to reckless actions during Robattles. After repeated losses, Kam discards her in "Transfusion Confusion." She later reactivates, seeking redemption by challenging Ikki Tenryou's Metabee. This encounter forces her to confront her newfound emotions, causing temporary instability. Kam subsequently installs her Medal into the experimental Gryphon model, an overpowered Kilobot body. Incompatibility with this body induces uncontrollable rampages. During the final confrontation, Gryphon is defeated by Ikki, Ginkai, and Yuuzuru's Medarots as the Death Medarot Company headquarters catches fire. Blackbeetle overrides Gryphon's systems to shield Kam from falling debris, sacrificing herself. Her recovered Medal is returned to her original body, now repaired without the eyepatch. Moved by her loyalty, Kam accepts her as a partner rather than a tool.

Across the broader *Medabots* franchise, Blackbeetle appears in multiple video games as an alternate female counterpart to Saikachis (Metabee's upgraded form), featuring increased attack power at the expense of speed. Her parts include the head-mounted "Black Ballista" missile launcher, "Black Fuser" right-arm rifle, "Black Blaster" left-arm gatling gun, and "Black Place" bipedal legs. She can Medachange into a tank-like form, trading mobility for firepower. Her game model numbers include KBT-35 (*Medarot 3*), KBT-55 (*Medarot 4*), and KBT05-F (*Medarot DS* and *7*).

In specific game narratives:
* *Medarot 3*: Built by antagonist Black Devil to destroy Ikki's Metabee, she later joins Ikki after being freed from control.
* *Medarot 4*: She aids Ikki post-game against the DVL-Series Medarots.
* *Medarot 7*: Featuring a Queen Medal, she serves as Azuma's second Medabot in the Kabuto version; she infiltrates under Dr. Hebereke's orders to steal M-Drives but is abandoned upon discovery.

In manga:
* *Medarot 3*: She acts as a protector of nature, eliminating naturalized animals threatening ecosystems.
* *Medarot Reloaded*: She is assigned as Kagami's ninth Medabot.

Her personality is consistently portrayed as cool and collected, contrasting with other hotheaded beetle-type Medarots.
