TV-Series
Description
Nae Akihabara is the granddaughter of the renowned Medabot researcher Dr. Aki. She first worked as a scientist at the Medabot Corporation, but she found that she was missing something and decided to change her career. She opened her own Medabot repair and maintenance shop, operating alongside her personal Medabot named Honey. In Medabots Spirit, she is a major supporting character who appears from the very first episode, where she provides Ikki with an upgraded Medarotch and the Saikachis parts for Metabee.
Nae is portrayed as a kind and modest young woman, despite being one of the world’s foremost experts in Medabot design. She is deeply knowledgeable about Medabot mechanics and part design, and she uses her skills to help children by repairing their Medabots. Her motivation stems from a genuine desire to support others and to ensure that Medabots are used properly and safely. She views the rise of the Death Medabots, also known as Kilobots, with great concern because these robots lack emotion and follow no rules, threatening the spirit of Medafighting.
Throughout the series, Nae acts as a mentor and technical supporter to Ikki and his friends. She frequently provides them with new parts, advice, and upgrades, enabling them to face the challenges posed by the Death Medabots. Her relationship with Ikki is built on mutual respect and guidance; she trusts him to use the parts she supplies to uphold fair competition. Nae is also closely connected to her grandfather, Dr. Aki, and often works in the Medabot laboratory alongside him, but she prefers the hands‑on work of a mechanic over corporate research.
Notable abilities include exceptional engineering talent, the capacity to design and construct complex Medabot parts, and a deep understanding of Medal compatibility. She is also a capable Robattler who uses Medabots from the Elemental series, such as Wind Cecil, Flame Tisala, and Earth Chrono. While her role is not that of an action hero, her knowledge and technical contributions are vital to the main characters’ successes. Over the course of the story, she remains a steady, reliable figure, demonstrating quiet confidence in her expertise and a caring attitude toward both Medabots and their owners.
