Description
Nae Akihabara, meaning "seedling" in Japanese and also known as Miss Nae, is the granddaughter of Dr. Aki and a first cousin once removed of Karin Junmai. She possesses extensive technical expertise in Medabot design and maintenance. Her career evolves from corporate research to independent mechanics.
Initially, in Riverview City's Medabot Laboratory, she supervises part design and tests. Specific actions by protagonist Hikaru Agata, including avoiding restricted areas, obtaining a "Name-Tag," assisting her Medapart tests via Robattles using Heal Angel parts, and fulfilling requests during the Ten Days of Darkness, can lead to her gifting him the Acehorn parts post-game.
By Medarot 2, she holds an advanced research role at the Medabot Corporation. Here, she provides protagonist Ikki Tenryou with access to Elemental-series Medabots (Windsail/Aquacrown, Saldron, Earthkrono) for testing and supplies multiple Medal choices at key points, such as after defeating The Screws or returning from Mt. Odoro Marsh. Colleagues respect her expertise.
In the Medarot R manga, she works as a receptionist at her grandfather's lab but faces coworker mistreatment under Guzaemon. Discovering Guzaemon's illegal activities, she helps dismantle them, resulting in her temporary transfer to a cold-region branch due to inadvertent involvement.
Within Medarot 3, she upgrades Ikki's starter Medabot with Medachange-capable parts (Saikachi/Roks variants), initiates test battles against her Dear Idol Medabot, provides Medalias, and offers a choice between Witch, Heel, or Hero Medals, later allowing him to collect unselected Medals.
In Medarot Damashii (Medabots Spirits anime), feeling the Medabot Corporation "missed something," she leaves to open an independent repair shop for children's Medabots, assisted by her custom Medabot, Honey. She mentors Ikki, providing upgraded parts for Metabee to combat Kilobots/Death Medarots. Her past connection to Zuru is revealed: she taught him robattling as a child and later discovers his identity as the Mystery Medafighter. She facilitates his visit to Dr. Aki to test Medaforce capability and mediates between Kam and Eddie. Her friendship with Charlie is noted.
