Suzume Sakurajosui serves as a core group member. Hailing from significant wealth as the fourth daughter with older sisters Suzumi, Suzuna, and Suzuri, she shares an unbroken bond since infancy and kindergarten with Hibari Hanakoganei. This childhood friendship defines her primary connection, though she exhibits possessiveness and jealousy when Hibari interacts with others like Tsugumi or Kamome. Academically inclined and mature, her affluent background manifests in aristocratic traits, including a very formal speech pattern ending phrases with "de gozaimasu desu wa" in Japanese or an aristocratic English accent. Despite her privilege, she faces familial neglect from an often-absent father and distant sisters, fueling loneliness and leaving Hibari as her sole meaningful relationship for years.

Her intellectual nature is reflected in Francesca, her intelligent, multitasking Pata-Pi electronic companion. Suzume diligently enhances Francesca, striving to make it "the best." This Pata-Pi possesses the capability to transform into the powerful Diva Hestia, named after a Greek goddess. Suzume's emotional volatility, particularly intense envy, catalyzes this transformation. Hestia first manifested when Suzume witnessed Hibari in peril and felt jealousy towards Hibari's bond with her own transformed Pata-Pi, Densuke, now Diva Aphrodite. Hestia plays a crucial combat role, engaging adversaries like Jun's Cerberus avatar and participating in larger conflicts against threats such as Erinyes, Miyama, Hatoko, and Hisho's diva army, experiencing defeat and temporary capture at times.

Contradictions mark her character development; intellect and maturity coexist with pronounced vanity, attention-seeking behavior, and insecurity, especially regarding her physical appearance. She displays marked jealousy towards Kamome due to Kamome's larger bust size and initially resents attention given to new transfer student Tsubame. While often self-centered and arrogant, she demonstrates loyalty and care for Hibari and eventually her other teammates, evolving into a protective figure. Her relationship with Tsugumi starts antagonistically due to clashing strong personalities and leadership aspirations but matures into mutual, albeit argumentative, respect and friendship.

Her involvement culminates in the movie/OVA narrative. After retrieving their Pata-Pis post-series, she joins a mission to the space fortress Primum Mobile. There, she achieves Astral Fusion with Diva Hestia – a capability unseen in the television series. This fusion grants her a distinct armored form: a violet and green armored leotard under a black turtleneck suit, yellow pauldrons and wrist protectors, and violet, green, and white armored boots. Her helmet is violet and white with a yellow face protector, featuring two side cannons and a large shaft on her back. While retaining her core intellect and aristocratic demeanor, the fusion state amplifies arrogance and cunning in combat. Her role shifts primarily to defense and support. She utilizes the helmet cannons offensively and generates multi-colored energy barriers to shield allies. She also employs the large purple shaft on her back to deflect assaults. Leveraging her intellect, she constructs a pink detonating device resembling Francesca to strategically disable Primum Mobile's computer systems disrupting Crane's rest. By the movie's end, she prepares for a vacation abroad, finally reunited with Francesca.
