She is the sister of Gonze, Zoltan's local carpenter, and the mother of Tanta Stow. She enjoys visiting saunas and drinking beer, expressing concern for the financial struggles of the sauna operated by Zeff. Nao acts as the disciplinarian toward her brother Gonze, frequently scolding his competitive behavior, excessive drinking, and prolonged sauna visits, which she views as a poor influence on Tanta. With Red, Nao expresses profound gratitude for curing Tanta’s life-threatening white-eye disease, an act that saved her son from blindness.
