TV-Series
Description
Machtackle serves as a combined form within the six-member Autobot Multiforce team, specifically merging the components Mach and Tackle. Operating under Star Saber's command in the Space Defense Force, Machtackle undertakes missions to protect Earth and other planets from Decepticon threats. Its primary function is reconnaissance and investigation, frequently deployed to assess unusual environmental phenomena tied to Decepticon activity. For instance, Star Saber dispatched Machtackle to investigate unexplained land subsidence in Canada, where they discovered a Decepticon Breastforce subterranean hydroelectric power plant. This facility had diverted an underground river, causing the collapse.

Machtackle can separate into its component robots, Mach and Tackle, for independent operations. Mach typically handles aerial reconnaissance, while Tackle focuses on ground-based assessment. During the Canadian mission, Tackle camouflaged himself with dirt and grass to ambush the Decepticon Jarugar. Mach employed diversionary tactics to lure Hellbat into a forest, trapping him within a cluster of trees. After defeating these opponents, Mach and Tackle briefly argued over their success before detecting another threat, prompting recombination. However, they adopted an alternate configuration known as Tacklemach to confront Killbison instead of reforming as Machtackle. This marked the only instance in the Victory series where any Multiforce member altered their standard combination pattern.

In combat, Machtackle wields standard Autobot weaponry, including hand-held blasters. The Tacklemach configuration retained these armaments but featured a distinct physical structure and head design. Tacklemach employed evasive maneuvers through forested terrain against Killbison until Star Saber intervened. Machtackle also participated in broader Autobot operations, such as defending the Galaxy Base space station during the Dinoforce's assault. Alongside teammates Dashtacker and Wingwaver, Machtackle assisted human crew members operating defense lasers against invading Decepticon Pretender shells.

During the Canadian investigation, Machtackle collaborated with the farmer Old Tom. While Machtackle focused on technical analysis of geological disruptions, Old Tom provided local context and guided them to the impact site. After the Autobots destroyed the Decepticon base and restored the underground river's flow, Machtackle joined other Autobots in offering to refill the resulting crater. Old Tom declined, opting to develop fish farming around the newly formed lake.
