Description
Dauros, a Decepticon Pretender, crash-landed on Earth during the Stone Age while fleeing Autobots led by Metalhawk. He and his comrades used their Pretender powers to assume monstrous forms, seeking to conquer Earth through fear. Dauros's specific rampages in ancient Greece directly inspired the mythological Minotaur legend. Following prolonged battles throughout human history, the Autobot Pretenders defeated and sealed the Decepticons away, imprisoning Dauros beneath Peru's Nazca Lines. Centuries later, the entity Devil Z freed Dauros and his comrades to advance its global domination schemes.

Serving as the Decepticon forces' explosions expert due to his love for gunpowder, Dauros is often linked to unexplained historical explosions. He is physically the strongest of the three Decepticon Pretenders. Dauros persistently challenges Blood's leadership, attempting to undermine his authority, though rarely taken seriously; this rivalry creates ongoing friction. He transforms into an assault tank capable of burrowing underground and flight.

After liberation by Devil Z, Dauros initiated attacks on Japanese cities using Seacon forces to lure out Autobot Pretenders. He participated in numerous Decepticon operations: corpse theft for Destroid experiments, live human abductions, destabilization efforts like causing animal stampedes in Africa, and coordinated assaults with fellow Pretenders Gilmer and Blood. As the conflict intensified, Dauros resisted subordination to new commanders like Mega, Giga, and later Overlord, perceiving Godmaster warriors as threats to his standing. His missions included kidnapping children to bait Autobot Godmaster Ginrai and capturing doctors worldwide; failures, such as allowing a hostage's escape, caused setbacks.

Dauros gradually receded from frontline combat as Devil Z prioritized Godmasters and powerful entities like BlackZarak. He fought in later battles across Latin America, North America, and Europe, but fled in terror when Devil Z unleashed fury on failing subordinates. Following Devil Z's destruction, Dauros's ultimate fate remains unconfirmed; he is not recorded joining Overlord's space-bound Decepticons or remaining on Earth.

In other media, Dauros appeared briefly in IDW comics as part of Decepticon forces during the battle of the Citadel, operating under Blitzwing's command without Pretender characteristics. He also features in the *Super Robot Wars* franchise as one of Overlord's servants, maintaining his explosive expertise and rivalry with Blood. His toy depicts an inner robot transforming into a Cybertronic tank and a monstrous Pretender shell with a ram's skull design, wielding combinable guns and a sword.
