Description
Jafé, also called Japheth, is one of Noah's three sons in the anime's biblical adaptation. He joins his family seeking refuge from the great flood aboard the ark Noah built, as seen in "The Story of Noah." Surviving the deluge, Jafé helps repopulate the earth with his brothers, Shem and Ham. His descendants are linked to Anatolia, Greece, and Eurasia.
When Noah becomes drunk, Jafé acts respectfully. He covers his father while averting his gaze from Noah's state, differing from Ham's conduct. Noah consequently blesses Jafé, proclaiming: "May God enlarge Japheth, and may he dwell in the tents of Shem." This blessing highlights Jafé's future prosperity and alliance with Shem's line.
The anime shows no wife or children for Jafé during the flood events. After the flood, however, accounts describe Jafé moving westward with his wife, Juropa. They establish farming communities, contributing to humanity's expansion across the renewed lands. His story concludes with this settlement.
