Description
Eyphar Sinapus captains the Earth Federation Forces assault carrier MSC-07 Albion. A grizzled veteran, he possesses a commanding personality and keen tactical mind forged through extensive military experience, marking him as a seasoned officer trusted with critical missions.

In October U.C. 0083, Captain Sinapus commanded the Albion transporting prototype Gundams RX-78GP01 "Zephyranthes" and RX-78GP02A "Physalis" to Torrington Base. Following Anavel Gato's theft of the nuclear-capable Physalis for the Delaz Fleet, Sinapus received orders to pursue and recover it. He operated with significant autonomy during this mission due to limited Federation support, frequently relying on his own judgment and moral compass.

Operation Stardust defined Sinapus through pivotal decisions. He disregarded Federation orders to acquire and deploy the advanced GP03 "Dendrobium" mobile weapon system, prioritizing the prevention of a colony drop over protocol. This action reflected his consistent prioritization of human life—whether his crew or civilians—above rigid chain-of-command structures. His crew demonstrated unwavering loyalty throughout these crises, indicating mutual trust.

Sinapus exhibited strategic adaptability across operations in Africa and space. After failing to intercept Gato's HLV launch in Africa, he relentlessly pursued the stolen Gundam across multiple theaters. His leadership during the final confrontation involved coordinating engineers and pilots under extreme pressure to counter the Delaz Fleet's objectives.

Post-Operation Stardust, Sinapus faced severe consequences for insubordination. Charged with mutiny, he was court-martialed and sentenced to death by the Earth Federation. The "Rebellion" manga adaptation explicitly depicts much of the blame for the operation's fallout being fabricated against him. Alternate continuities, like "Super Robot Wars α3", show his death sentence commuted after intervention by Bruno J. Global, though this falls outside primary canon.

Personally, Sinapus maintained a paternal demeanor toward his crew. He suffered from a liver-related health condition, evidenced by his medically supervised alcohol rationing system aboard the Albion, implying chronic stress or age-related ailments affecting his service.

His legacy remains tied to the moral complexity within military command structures—balancing duty against conscience amid institutional failure. Expanded media reiterates his role as a scapegoat for broader Federation corruption preceding the Titans' rise.
