OVA
Description
Carrot Glacé serves as the main protagonist and de facto leader of the Sorcerer Hunters. He is 17 years old, with black hair and brown eyes, and carries a longsword which he seldom wields effectively due to his extreme imprecision. His innate abilities include Aranju, enabling him to absorb magic, and Zoanthropy, which causes him to transform into a monstrous form upon exposure to a Sorcerer’s magic. These transformations activate one of his 12 beast genes based on the Chinese zodiac, turning him into a giant, uncontrollable monster. In the animated series, Tira Misu must whip him to revert him to his normal state, while in the manga, she weakens the monster form so his brother Marron can extract the magic. He has transformed twice in a single fight, and in one OVA, he accessed a draconic form to defeat a powerful enemy. Despite this power, Carrot is otherwise the weakest member of the team in conventional strength and magical ability.

Carrot exhibits a lascivious and perverse nature, frequently propositioning women for dates or sex. The exceptions are Tira and Chocola Misu, his childhood friends whom he views with brotherly affection. This dynamic makes him uneasy about romantic involvement with either sister and drives his pursuit of other women, offending Tira and Chocola, who perceive his actions as infidelity and often punish him with whippings. He fears both sisters. Carrot has a habit of eating objects off the ground and choking on them, and he often trips or falls while proclaiming his desire for women. Despite his lecherous behavior, he displays chivalry by immediately ceasing advances upon learning a woman has a boyfriend. He possesses a good heart and deeply cares for his friends and family.

He grew up on Mt. Saint Hordic with his younger brother Marron and the Misu sisters. Carrot frequently protected Marron from bullies targeting his feminine appearance. Tira and Chocola developed deep romantic feelings for him during childhood, though he only ever formed a sibling-like bond with them. His father, Onion Glacé, was known for rescuing maidens in hopes of dating them afterward.

Throughout the series, Carrot undergoes development. While he consistently rejects the sisters’ affections early on, an episode in the animated adaptation shows him feeling dejected when Tira and Chocola are absent, hinting at a hidden attachment. In the manga, his development is more pronounced: he eventually professes love for both sisters and marries Tira by the series’ conclusion. Even after the marriage, Chocola remains determined to bear his first child. Late-series lore reveals that each Sorcerer Hunter is the human reincarnation of a deceased god, with Carrot being the reincarnation of Hakaishin, the God of Destruction.
