Dr. Jason leads the Hartz Bougen Corporation, an entity holding a near-total monopoly on the study of alien relics across the galaxy. He serves as a direct antagonist in the narrative. Under his command, the alien Toryune is brought to HBC headquarters for examination, where scientists discover its DNA bears a striking resemblance to that of humans. In a later communication, Dr. Jason reveals that nine years earlier, HBC successfully cloned an Al Caral from a mummified corpse but incorrectly declared the clone perished in a fire; this clone is subsequently identified as Shana T. Security at his facility is described as questionable. After Toryune’s humanoid form dies, the emergence of Shana’s Al Caral abilities compels Dr. Jason and his guards to take their own lives.
