Chun-Li, an Interpol agent, investigates the Shadaloo crime syndicate, driven by a personal quest for justice after its leader, M. Bison, murdered her father. She partners with U.S. Air Force Captain Guile in a joint Interpol-military operation to locate Shadaloo's base and warn fighters about Bison's monitor cyborgs used to scout recruits. Returning to her New York City high-rise apartment, Chun-Li is ambushed in the shower by Vega, a Shadaloo assassin sent by Bison to kill her. Their brutal confrontation erupts into an extended fight, causing extensive property damage. Vega attacks with his signature claw, inflicting severe injuries. Chun-Li ultimately defeats Vega by executing her Hyakuretsukyaku (Lightning Legs) technique, propelling him through an external wall to his apparent death. However, severe blood loss causes Chun-Li to collapse immediately after, slipping into a coma. She remains hospitalized while Guile continues the mission. Following Shadaloo's base destruction, Chun-Li recovers. She reunites with Guile at the hospital, confirming the mission's success.
