Description
Yui Takanaka balances her part-time job at Roppongi's Hardrock Cafe with her dream of dancing on Broadway. She lives in a loft apartment with roommates Tomomi Murashita and Mai Yumekano. Her path shifts dramatically after a chance meeting with Shogo Yahagi in Shibuya sparks a romantic relationship.

Yui's dance career ambitions lead to a professional setback when a producer forces sexual advances beyond kissing at a hotel. Shogo intervenes, rescuing her and cementing their relationship as lovers. Tomomi Murashita's death later causes Yui to separate from both Shogo and Mai, marking a profound emotional turning point.

Six months later, during the events of Part II, Yui seeks to reconnect with Shogo while undergoing personal change, notably symbolized by a significant haircut. In the alternate reality of the PlayStation 3 game "Megazone23 The Blue Garland," set years after Part II, Yui is the mother of Hiroto Takanaka. Her relationship with Shogo progresses toward marriage. However, during the game's prologue, she suffers fatal injuries in an army raid while pregnant. Another outcome unfolds in the "Aoi Garland" adaptation, where Yui perishes during an armed military assault by Megazone 23 soldiers.
