Manami Shibata, a doctor engaged to her colleague Akihiro Okabe, once worked as governess to Ikuko, a wealthy heiress. Their relationship turned intimate, evolving into a romance marked by physical passion but devoid of authentic emotional connection on Manami’s part. Viewing Ikuko as a means to secure both her fiancé’s commitment and the heiress’s fortune, Manami orchestrates a calculated murder plot. She injects egg yolk into Ikuko under the pretense of administering a medical booster, exploiting the young woman’s lethal egg allergy. Later, during a shared meal, she deliberately orders an egg-based dish, inducing a fatal anaphylactic reaction. When Ikuko is hospitalized, Manami accelerates her demise by sabotaging her IV drip.

Fueled by ruthless determination to eliminate barriers to her ambitions, Manami cloaks herself in professional decorum while manipulating those around her, including Okabe. Their affair unravels when Kayuga, a supernatural entity, engineers a scenario exposing their infidelity. In the ensuing chaos, Manami misinterprets Okabe’s involvement in a same-sex affair, abandoning him in revulsion.

Her schemes collapse when supernatural forces miraculously resurrect Ikuko, exposing Manami’s crimes. Stripped of her carefully constructed façade, her web of deceit unravels, leaving her ambitions in ruins.
