Mai Sakuragi, from the *End of Summer* OAV based on Elf's *Dōkyūsei*, is a wealthy, beautiful, and reserved girl. She occupies the romantic focus of protagonist Wataru, who dreams of spending his final school summer with her as his ideal partner. Their potential connection faces significant obstacles from others. Kenji, sharing Mai's affluent background and acting as her self-appointed guardian, dismisses Wataru's lower status as unsuitable while positioning himself as Mai's rightful match.
