Description
Kazuki Yotsuga, a timid and socially isolated high school student, grapples with recurring visions of colossal mechanized battles disrupting his daily life. Ostracized for his erratic behavior, his reality fractures when an experiment by Dr. Ken Sanada thrusts him into a parallel dimension where these visions manifest as actual warfare. In this world, he finds no trace of himself but meets alternate versions of familiar figures, such as Mitsuki Sanada, whose demeanor starkly contrasts her original counterpart.
Forced into piloting the white Core Robot Hartzenen during a skirmish, Kazuki instinctively excels in combat, saving injured ally Yayoi Schwael and earning a place in the Earth Defense Force. His emergence draws the attention of D, a bioroid imbued with an alien consciousness striving to comprehend humanity, and Mitsuki Rara—a defector from the hostile Rara Army mirroring Mitsuki Sanada. Through these bonds, Kazuki bridges emotional gaps across dimensions, catalyzing D’s emotional evolution.
A turning point unfolds as Kazuki awakens Zinv, an ancient mecha unveiled as his alternate-self. To avert universal collapse from dimensional breaches, Zinv’s sacrifice merges both worlds into a cohesive realm shaped by Kazuki’s yearning for harmony. Post-crisis, he settles under Dr. Sanada’s guardianship alongside companions, with Zinv eventually resurrecting to enable cosmic exploration.
Expanded lore situates Kazuki’s saga billions of years prior to the Tenchi Muyo! timeline, his interstellar journeys seeding an advanced civilization. His legacy intertwines with the franchise’s cosmos through reincarnation as Seina Yamada, protagonist of *Tenchi Muyo! GXP*. The name “Kazuki Yotsuga” conceals a numerical cipher (“4+1=5,” phonetically “Masaki”), echoing the creator’s affinity for linguistic enigmas.
