Description
Developed by China's Space and Aviation Academy using Gutsy Galaxy Guard technical data, Rairyû carries the designation G.B.R.-07. This G-Stone Drived Brave mechanoid stands 20.5 meters tall, spans 10.5 meters wide, and weighs 230 tons in robot configuration. Its power source is an Ul-Tech Unified G-Drive, generating a maximum output of 340,000 kW. The Dian-Zhuang-Huo propulsion system provides flight capabilities up to Mach 0.9 and ground mobility reaching 325 km/h. Its structure utilizes a Super Monocoque design, integrating the Lei-Dun barrier generation system within the Dian-Zhuang-Huo electromagnetic carrier platform.
Combat efficiency formed Rairyû's original primary directive, ranking human life protection only as its fourteenth operational parameter. This focus proved problematic during early missions, such as the engagement against ZX-05 at the Great Wall of China. Aggressive maneuvers during that battle caused collateral damage, harming fellow mechanoids HyouRyuu and EnRyuu and leading to civilian casualties. A pivotal recalibration occurred when HyouRyuu and EnRyuu intercepted a Zonder cannon blast intended for Rairyû, sacrificing themselves. Witnessing this act fundamentally altered Rairyû's AI through its self-learning functions, elevating human safety to its top priority and fostering deep respect for its senior counterparts.
Personality-wise, Rairyû exhibits a hotheaded and boisterous demeanor, consistent with its base model EnRyuu. It consistently fails to execute proper landings during aerial descents, even when utilizing the Dian-Zhuang-Huo as a hoverboard, often resulting in crashes—a characteristic persistent throughout its operational history.
Combat functionality centers on electricity manipulation. Its armor conducts currents, and the Lei-Dun device mounted on the Dian-Zhuang-Huo enables offensive and defensive applications. Four operational levels, designated TiGao, are accessed via a chest dial:
- **TiGao 1:** Employs the Dian-Zhuang-Huo as a flight hoverboard.
- **TiGao 2:** Releases wide-area electrical discharges from the Lei-Dun for area denial or anti-personnel use.
- **TiGao 3:** Generates an electric barrier shield converting impact energy into counter-discharges.
- **TiGao 4:** Focuses ultra-high voltage bursts through its fingertips for single-target elimination, representing its most frequently deployed attack mode. An auxiliary handheld Electric Gun weapon was documented in one engagement.
Rairyû engages in Symmetrical Docking combinations with specific counterparts. Docking with G.B.R.-06 FuuRyuu forms GekiRyuJin, characterized by offensive specialization including the "Shuāng Tóu Lóng" (Two-Headed Dragon) energy beam attack capable of penetrating defenses while safely extracting Zonder cores. Alternatively, docking with G.B.R.-02 HyouRyuu at exceeding 200% SympaRate—facilitated by exposure to "THE POWER" energy from Jupiter—creates GenRyuJin. This form utilizes abilities like "Aurora Illusion" for decoys and "Thunder Blizzard", which synergizes with GouRyuJin's "Burning Hurricane" for the combined "Maximum Tou Long" tactic.
