Kanna Toreishi, born October 16, is the eldest of the five Toreishi sisters and commands the Hummingbird squadron as its de facto leader. She handles both tactical planning and organizational oversight, rigorously coordinating team strategies, ensuring contract compliance for her sisters and their employers, and mediating disputes. Kanna enforces a strict, by-the-book leadership style, demanding high performance and exhibiting low tolerance for foolishness or negligence, though she cares deeply for her sisters.

Her combat role emphasizes her protective nature as the eldest sister, specializing in point defense interception. While capable of close-range combat, she generally avoids direct engagements, prioritizing defensive tactics. She pilots the HB-01 aircraft, sharing its agile air superiority fighter performance characteristics with sister Satsuki's craft, though Kanna employs it more conservatively.

Within the family structure, Kanna serves as executive officer to her mother, Hazuki, the team's commanding officer and primary contract negotiator.
