Haruna Shiratori attends the same school as Shiro Kabuto and develops a close relationship with him, leading Shiro to eventually refer to her as his girlfriend. She appears throughout the series primarily in a supporting role. Antagonistic forces take her hostage on two occasions: first during episode 17, "Tetsuya!! Crawl Your Way Out from Hell's Darkness!!", and again in episode 23, "The Bewitching New Commander, Marquis Janus!!". Her surname, Shiratori, translates to "swan".
