Description
Miyuki Tanokura, a 17-year-old with brown hair, is the daughter of Shusaku Tanokura, head of the local bank in Kimujuku. This connection places her amidst the town's influential circles and power struggles. Intelligent, confident, and fiercely independent, Miyuki resists attempts to control her life. Initially aloof and distrustful, especially towards newcomers like George Kodama, she gradually reveals a more engaged and resourceful personality.

Her relationship with George evolves significantly. Though initially wary, she becomes a crucial ally, supporting his investigation into Kimujuku's dark history and secrets. Her intelligence and intuition prove vital, aiding George in uncovering clues and navigating the town's complex social dynamics. While she develops feelings for him, this attraction remains distinctly unreciprocated and does not blossom into romance.

Family tensions add complexity. Miyuki shows visible irritation regarding the implied affair between her father and Sanae Araki, owner of the inn where George stays, highlighting her loyalty to her family. Throughout events, Miyuki demonstrates resourcefulness and a willingness to assist George, moving beyond her initial role defined solely by her family status. Driven by a sense of duty and a desire to uncover the truth, particularly about events fifteen years prior, she actively aids in unraveling the town's mysteries.
