Description
Born on November 23, 769 UC, Dusty Attemborough faced clashing parental visions from birth. His father Patrick demanded a military path to honor a promise to Dusty's maternal grandfather, killed fighting the Galactic Empire months before Dusty arrived. Convinced her son was her father's reincarnation, Dusty's mother named him accordingly. Dusty initially defied expectations, aspiring to journalism like Patrick, until an emotional plea swayed him. He compromised by applying to both military and civilian academies but secured admission only to Heinessen's military institution. Before enrollment, Patrick gifted him a rusted key—a talisman said to have shielded his grandfather from a bullet.

At the Free Planets Alliance Officer Academy in 785 UC, Dusty forged an enduring friendship with Yang Wen-li. His early career saw him battle in the 5th Iserlohn Assault as a first lieutenant in 792 UC. By 794 UC, he commanded the destroyer Elm III during the 6th Iserlohn Assault, then served as gunnery officer on the flagship Patoroklos in the 2nd Fleet the following year.

Dusty fought alongside Yang at Legnica and the Fourth Battle of Tiamat, where his voluntary role in Yang’s diversionary maneuver enabled the Alliance Navy’s retreat. After the Battle of Astarte, he joined Yang’s 13th Fleet as staff advisor, later commanding squadrons from the battleship Triglav.

Rising from lieutenant commander in "My Conquest Is the Sea of Stars" to vice admiral in "Sudden Change," he became the youngest admiral in Alliance history. He contributed to Iserlohn Fortress’s bloodless capture during the Seventh Battle of Iserlohn and co-authored the phrase "foppery and whim" to encapsulate the Yang Fleet’s ethos, mirroring his own military philosophy.

Divorced with no recorded children, Dusty carved a distinct identity through tactical ingenuity and irreverence toward authority. He championed battlefield adaptability over doctrinal rigidity.
