King Paulo rules the kingdom of Popolocrois. His marriage to Sania of the dragon clan (Ryu clan) forged a deliberate political union to overcome racial barriers between humans and dragons. This union produced their son, Prince Pietro, inheriting both human and dragon lineage. As ruler, Paulo embodies compassion and champions racial equality, central themes within the PopoloCrois narrative. His reign encounters a crisis when he becomes trapped within a dream world, compelling the twelve-year-old Pietro to embark on a rescue mission. This event highlights his vulnerability and the deep familial bonds central to the story. Years later, his legacy passes to his grandson, Pinon (son of Pietro and Narcia). King Paulo bequeaths his sword to Pinon, symbolizing the continuation of the royal lineage and its values. Pinon initially grapples with the weight of expectations tied to his grandfather's and father's reputations but gradually matures into his destined role.
