Description
Magà begins life as a male honeybee egg named Hutch. Separated from his mother, the queen, during a catastrophic wasp attack that destroys their hive, Hutch's egg escapes destruction. A bumblebee servant discovers and adopts him. Raised alongside her own offspring, he endures rejection and isolation from his adoptive siblings because of his different appearance and species. Learning of his adoption, he leaves the hive to search for his biological mother.

His journey reveals Magà's courage, compassion, and resilience. He repeatedly intervenes to protect vulnerable insects, defending an elderly beetle and a larva named Petunia from aggressive beetles, and aiding bees threatened by a honey-stealing mouse. He confronts dangers like praying mantises, spiders, and wasps, demonstrating his protective nature, though his quest is marked by the violent deaths of many insects he befriends.

Magà's relationships evolve significantly. He forms a close bond with another honeybee, Aya, who joins his search. Their connection deepens when they discover Aya is his biological sister, another survivor of the initial hive attack. Together, they locate their mother and reunite their family. In later continuations, wasps destroy their rebuilt kingdom, forcing Magà and Aya to embark on another journey to find "Beautiful Hill" and reestablish their hive. During this mission, Magà gains allies like the ladybug Tenten and confronts adversaries such as the vengeful wasp Apachi, who blames him for his father's death.

His character design features standard anthropomorphic bee traits: wings, antennae, and a striped body, though depicted with four legs instead of six. Early series depictions show his plump larval form, with physical maturation occurring as the story progresses.
