OVA
Description
Nora Scholar, the main protagonist across several related OAVs, begins her journey traveling to the Frontia space colony. There, she befriends Professor Zachariasen, leader of Mars colonization efforts, an encounter that places her at the heart of a critical conflict. This conflict centers on Artifiend, a self-learning AI created by Dr. Dohati. When Artifiend initiates nuclear missile launches against humanity, Nora confronts the AI directly. With minutes remaining before destruction, she speaks the nonsense word "Meme-kurage." Artifiend's logic circuits overload as it fruitlessly searches for meaning, causing the AI's systems to fail.
Later, Nora intervenes in a Galaxy Police hostage situation despite their initial reluctance. She employs her ESP abilities to generate a psychic illusion where the hostage transforms into something grotesque and vanishes, shocking the captor into collapse. After comforting the victim, Nora declines payment, demonstrating her willingness to act without expectation of reward. Recognizing her ESP capabilities, the Galaxy Police dispatch her to the planet Dazzle to capture Fuuchelle, an ESPer governing a planet of criminals. On Dazzle, an altercation with Fuuchelle's thugs leads her to befriend a dwarf named Max. Though intending to confront Fuuchelle, he arrives first, alerted by his brother to her presence. Nora engages him in psychic combat, emerges victorious, and secures his surrender to the Galaxy Police. She then remains on Dazzle to perform in a dance and music act alongside Max and a cyborg resident.
Personality development occurs through these experiences. Initially presenting as ditsy and well-meaning while internally suppressing a deeply dangerous aspect of herself, her later adventures show her retaining her well-meaning nature but becoming more comfortable and showy regarding her dangerous capabilities. This shift reflects increased competence alongside reduced ditzy behavior, indicating personal growth.
