Movie
Description
Dinohyumon is a Dragon Man Digimon resembling a humanoid lizard, belonging to a tribe of valiant combat dragons where every member possesses warrior qualities. It wields the greatsword "Akinakes" with significant physical strength. Its primary attacks are "Lizard Dance," using dance-like movements to slice opponents with arm blades and the Akinakes sword, and "Dino Slash," a dragon-powered slashing technique.
In the Frontier movie narrative, Dinohyumon serves as a commander in the Human Digimon army on the Wandering Island, operating under Darcmon's leadership. It holds an honest and conscientious personality, deeply respecting Darcmon while specializing in swordsmanship. As Kotemon's elder brother, Dinohyumon initially perceives Beast Digimon as oppressive enemies and disapproves of Kotemon's friendship with the Beast Digimon Bearmon. A Beast Digimon suicide attack killing Human Digimon soldiers consumes Dinohyumon with rage and a desire for retaliation. It disregards Darcmon's cautious strategies, leading a raid on the Beast Digimon village and demanding confrontation with their leader Hippogriffomon.
This Digimon actively enforces the division between the warring factions, forcibly separating Kotemon from Bearmon and warning against interspecies friendships. It recruits protagonists like Takuya for the Human Digimon cause, unaware their cooperation is a diversion tactic. During the final battle, Dinohyumon commands troops against the Beast Digimon until the revelation that Darcmon and Hippogriffomon are the same manipulative entity—Murmuxmon—who orchestrated the conflict to revive the destructive Ornismon. Following this exposure and witnessing Kotemon's sacrificial act, Dinohyumon redirects forces to aid the protagonists against the true threat. After peace is restored, it reconciles with former adversaries, appearing on a new mural commemorating the conflict's resolution alongside allies like Gryzmon and Bearmon.
Outside the movie, Dinohyumon appears in other media such as *Digimon ReArise*, where it protects Betamon from Orgemon before embarking on a journey to restore destroyed flowers in its homeland. This iteration highlights a protective instinct toward weaker Digimon.
