Description
Narcissus begins as an unattractive man plagued by profound insecurity about his physical appearance. This deep dissatisfaction with his looks is central to his background and drives his story arc. Pollon discovers a magic potion that transforms physical appearance and gives it to Narcissus. After drinking the potion, Narcissus undergoes a dramatic physical transformation into an exceptionally handsome man. This alteration fundamentally changes his personality and behavior.

His newfound attractiveness leads Narcissus to develop an intense fixation on his own reflection. He exhibits excessive self-admiration and grows increasingly preoccupied with his appearance. This behavior escalates until he falls deeply in love with himself, embodying the mythological concept of narcissism. His transformation from insecurity to extreme self-obsession forms an ironic conclusion to his narrative. The portrayal emphasizes the consequences of his physical change, illustrating how it results in complete self-absorption. His character arc concludes with this state of self-infatuation.
