TV-Series
Description
Tambourine is the magical companion of Mary Bell, originating from the benevolent Seelie Court fairies. Sharing Mary Bell's age of 500,000 years, their enduring partnership predates their time in the human world. His primary function involves assisting Mary Bell in her mission to aid humans and nature, accompanying her during her stay in Sunny Bell and participating in her magical interventions.

Throughout the television series, Tambourine accompanies Mary Bell on her adventures in Sunny Bell and the Flower Magic World. He actively supports her efforts to help Ken and Yuuri's parents run their flower shop and aids in resolving challenges faced by the townspeople. Tambourine experiences minor development through interpersonal dynamics, including a notable quarrel with Mary Bell in the episode "Quarrel in the 500,000th Year," where their disagreement drives the plot before reconciliation. He occasionally corrects those who mistakenly call Mary Bell a fairy, clarifying her distinct nature.

In the theatrical film "The Key of Phoenix," Tambourine joins Mary Bell, Ken, Yuuri, and Ribbon on a journey to Flower Land for Toto the phoenix's birthday celebration. The group confronts a crisis when Geeto gives Toto a corrupted key, transforming him destructively. Tambourine supports the search for a pure-hearted key to restore Toto, demonstrating his consistent aid during major magical threats.

Tambourine also features in the educational OVAs "Mary Bell's Traffic Safety" and "Mary Bell's Fire Prevention: What to Do When an Earthquake Occurs." Here, he participates alongside Mary Bell and others in delivering instructional content about road safety and earthquake preparedness, extending his presence into public service messaging. His interactions with humans, particularly children, reflect a patient and supportive demeanor consistent with his guiding role.

Primarily a supportive figure, Tambourine's background connects him to Seelie Court lore, and his steadfast partnership with Mary Bell remains constant across all media. His character facilitates Mary Bell's mission, reinforces themes of nature and assistance, and participates in both whimsical and critical situations encountered throughout the series and its ancillary productions.
