Description
Reigning as sovereign of the Witch World, Reine de la Magie descends from Majo Tourbillon, a former queen whose human marriage ended tragically with her husband's death and estrangement from her grandchildren. This led Tourbillon to sever the human and witch realms and curse witches into frogs if humans discovered them. Inheriting this fraught legacy, the current queen pursued a different course, striving to rebuild connections between the worlds despite skepticism from advisors like Dr. Guéritout and Gripsou.

Demonstrating her commitment to reconciliation, she placed trust in human witch apprentices. After Doremi Harukaze and her friends witnessed the birth of the witch infant Flora, the destined future queen, she appointed them as Flora's guardians. She restored their magic – previously sacrificed to save their friend Onpu Segawa – enabling them to raise the child. Throughout Flora's upbringing, she supported the apprentices against threats, including wizards from the Magician World attempting to kidnap Flora. When Tourbillon cursed Flora to sicken her, the queen guided the apprentices to find the healing Love Supreme Flower in the cursed forest. After they succeeded but fell into a cursed sleep, she revived them, assigning new trials: passing patisserie exams to regain their status.

Her resolve faced greater challenges when Tourbillon actively tried to kill Flora, seeing her as key to uniting the worlds. The queen empowered the apprentices as "royal godmothers" for Flora's protection and later devised a plan to appeal to Tourbillon's humanity. She instructed the apprentices to bake Tourbillon's favorite cake, the "Love Whirlwind," hoping it would evoke memories of her human life. The cake succeeded in calming Tourbillon, who fell into an enchanted slumber, though the frog curse persisted. Subsequently, Flora shattered her magic crystal to age into a preteen and flee to the human world. The queen used this event as an opportunity, tasking the apprentices with mentoring Flora in the human world for a year. During this time, she grew progressively weaker as Tourbillon's despair began draining magic from both worlds.

The apprentices eventually awakened Tourbillon by recreating handmade gifts from her grandchildren, restoring her happy memories. The queen then persuaded Tourbillon to lift the frog curse in a grand magical ceremony involving all witches. With the curse broken, she announced Flora as her successor but remained queen until Flora came of age. Before the apprentices chose to relinquish magic permanently, she revealed a secret: she is half-human, explaining her deep investment in uniting the two worlds.

Her appearance remained obscured by a thick veil until the series' conclusion, revealing only silhouettes. She possesses long grey-white hair, with two rebellious strands framing her crown. Her attire includes a grey and white robe with a purple star on the chest, golden bracelets, and white mittens.
