Description
Kyoshiro Kagami operates as a modern-day private inspector, his reserved demeanor and strategic intellect masking the legacy of the Warrior of the Mirror. This mantle grants him mastery over reflective surfaces, bending light to his will and unmasking demonic entities by forcing their true forms into visibility through a handheld mirror. He keeps the instrument concealed within his jacket, its presence marked by a habitual touch—a subtle tic reinforcing his constant readiness for combat or revelation.

Born in feudal Japan as the son of Mitsuhide, a warrior charged with uniting ten champions against the Demon King, Kagami inherited leadership upon his father’s demise. Reincarnated into the modern age, he now steers the reawakened warriors’ coalition, though friction simmers with Jutto Segu, the Warrior of Light, whose accusations of negligence shadow their alliance.

A defining failure haunts Kagami’s command: the death of Jutto’s mother during a demonic ambush. Despite rallying forces to her aid, his inability to prevent the tragedy cemented Jutto’s enduring bitterness. Kagami counters these tensions with appeals to unity, pressing the Warrior of Light to set aside vengeance for the sake of their shared war.

As strategist and spymaster, Kagami threads through political conspiracies alongside allies like Minawa Narutaki and Farina Nanao. His investigations expose corruption entwined with the Kyouma resurgence—from a cabinet minister’s assassination to schemes to destabilize the nation by relocating its capital. Where others act on impulse, he dissects threats with methodical precision, though the narrative’s shifting focus gradually sidelines his involvement in later episodes.

Dialogues with Hajime Shirogane, a warrior advocating demonic coexistence, chip at Kagami’s resolve. While he admits the futility of their eternal cycle, duty anchors him to humanity’s defense—even as victory’s fragility gnaws at his certainty. His abrupt absence during the final confrontation offers no closure, leaving the question of his legacy suspended in the aftermath.
