Description
Scarface, alias Mars, began as an operative of the villainous d.M.p. After the organization's headquarters fell, he infiltrated the Hercules Factory under a false Justice Chojin identity to gather intelligence on their techniques and vulnerabilities. There, he forged a significant friendship with fellow trainee Jade that later soured into enmity.
He initially operated in an "Over-Body" disguise: a scarred, muscular white man sporting gangster attire, including a fedora and gloves. His true form revealed a slender physique clad in a purple-and-pink leotard with elongated hair-like hood sections and clawed boots. This form featured his "Madness Mask," which amplified his strength while removing all restraint when worn.
His history intertwined deeply with Kevin Mask. During d.M.p training, Scarface saved Kevin from a fatal fall, demanding Robin Mask's secret techniques as repayment—a debt he later exploited. Post-d.M.p collapse, he competed in the HF First Year Replacement Matches. He defeated Terry the Kid by countering signature moves with enhanced versions like the Buffalo Brander, finishing him with the Ultimate Scar Buster. Against Jade, he employed psychological warfare, falsely claiming Brocken Jr. orchestrated Jade's adoptive parents' murder to sabotage him emotionally. After removing Jade's arm and helmet, he delivered the Ultimate Scar Buster.
In the finals against Mantaro Kinniku, Scarface dominated by reversing the Kinniku Buster—a technique Kevin Mask taught him to settle their debt. Kevin exposed Scarface's true identity and d.M.p affiliation mid-match, prompting Scarface to reveal the d.M.p emblem beneath his costume. Mantaro ultimately defeated him by developing the Muscle Millennium technique.
Post-loss, Scarface reformed. He reappeared as an Idol Chojin during the Demon Seed Arc, aiding Mantaro in rescuing Meat from Akuma Shogun and gradually aligning with Justice Chojin. His reformation solidified in the Ultimate Chojin Tag Arc. He initially joined forces to save Kevin Mask but later attempted to steal Trophy Bulbs to become a Complete Chojin, revealing lingering ambition. Despite conflicts, he became a reliable ally, forming the tag-team Blood Evolutions with Kevin Mask and later the Super Trinities with Jade.
His fighting style emphasized brutality and psychological manipulation, specializing in analyzing and improving opponents' techniques to exploit weaknesses, like his signature Scar Buster. Abilities included flight, size manipulation exceeding 30 meters, and resurrection via Lifeforce Spheres if death wasn't natural. Personality-wise, he displayed assertiveness, confidence, and a tendency to "bad-mouth" opponents. Even reformed, he maintained a brutal in-ring style for just causes. Personal quirks involved a strict pre-fight diet of freshly squeezed juice and a concealed fear of roller coasters. His relationship with Kevin Mask remained complex, balancing camaraderie with tensions from their shared past.
