Description
Ayumi Ichigaya arrives in the neighborhood next to the Tsukuda family. She is a young girl distinguished by her long purple hair reaching her waist and black eyes. Her arrival brings a pet myna bird named Déjà Vu, known for frequently mocking Ganmo about his unusual appearance.

She attends the same school as Hanpeita Tsukuda and engages with classmates Linda Skylark, Toshimitsu Saigō, and Kashio Fujita. Ayumi balances a kind personality with an adventurous spirit, actively participating in summer festivals, school events, and neighborhood adventures. Her storylines explore school rivalries, attempts to find a boyfriend, and everyday challenges like test preparation and keeping secrets.

Ayumi forges a close friendship with Ganmo, partnering with him during various escapades. Her empathetic nature drives her to support others, though it occasionally leads her to overlook her own needs. She demonstrates responsibility by taking on jobs to assist her family, reflecting her strong sense of duty. Her grandmother appears in at least one episode, indicating family ties beyond her immediate household.

Déjà Vu serves as both her companion and a source of comedic conflict, primarily through its taunts directed at Ganmo. Ayumi's presence consistently influences neighborhood dynamics, contributing to the series' comedic and slice-of-life elements.
