Description
Smith is a male French Spaniel mix with black and white fur, balancing an easy-going nature with seriousness, though Cross calls him a "girl-chaser." As one of Riki's platoon leaders in the Ōu army during the Akakabuto Arc, Gin saves him from Sniper's scheme, forging their lasting friendship. Smith later guides the injured hunter Gohei to Akakabuto's final battle.
After Akakabuto's defeat in the Wolf Arc, Smith guards Futago Pass while others confront wolves. Initially skeptical and fearful of wolves, he eventually accepts Retsuga and Hyōma into the pack. Years later in "Ginga Densetsu Weed," he oversees Futago Pass and promises Tesshin to protect Gin's pregnant mate, Sakura. When Lucy's betrayal causes Sakura's disappearance, Smith launches a search, leaving Tokimune, Tony, and Akame guarding the pass.
