Description
Amataro is the father of Demetan and husband of Amako. He works as a toymaker, meticulously crafting playthings to support his family through skilled craftsmanship, reflecting a creative yet modest livelihood. The family belongs to the tree frog species, an identity that inherently marginalizes them within Rainbow Pond society, subjecting them to systemic prejudice as social outcasts. Prior to settling in Rainbow Pond, Amataro and his family suffered a traumatic displacement from their original home. A violent salamander assault forced their relocation, resulting in the loss of numerous family members. Following this tragedy, Amataro led his surviving kin to Rainbow Pond seeking refuge and a new beginning. Within the narrative, Amataro serves as a steadfast parental figure, providing emotional grounding for Demetan while navigating the adversity of their low social standing and economic hardship. His presence underscores the family's persistent struggle for acceptance and stability amidst an unwelcoming environment.
