Carlo Allegrini was an Italian voice actor, primarily active in the dubbing industry from the 1970s onwards. Born Carlo Domenico Allegrini on May 1, 1937, he is recognized for lending his voice to numerous characters in foreign films and television series for the Italian market. He was the father of Marina Allegrini, a dialogue writer and dubbing director.
Allegrini's career was extensive and varied, with a significant body of work in the dubbing of anime and animated series. He was the Italian voice for a wide range of characters in many popular shows. Among his notable roles are Odi Colonia in Le avventure di re Leonardo, Topazio in Dirty Dawg, and he provided the first voice for Robert Hathaway in the classic series Candy Candy. He also voiced Inspector Garcia in Belle e Sebastien and Duke Henri de Germain in Lady Oscar. His other anime dubbing credits include Hail Gestapo in I fantastici viaggi di Fiorellino, Yoshiota in Io sono Teppei!, various characters in Carletto il re dei mostri, and General Prozar in Daltanious. He was also the voice of the Spaceman in L'Uomo Tigre II.
In addition to his work in animation, Allegrini dubbed characters in live-action productions. He provided the Italian voice for Russ Grieve in the 1977 film The Hills Have Eyes, and for David Hatton in The Pirates of Penzance. On television, he was the voice of Yuki Kitazume in the series Megaloman. His work also extended to dubbing in soap operas and telenovelas, where he voiced characters in Donne di sabbia, Selva Maria, Luisiana mia, and Laura.
