When Uiba is devastated by unhatched reptile eggs at their shop, Souko consoles her by procuring a large, strangely striped egg from an undisclosed source, hoping its hatching would cheer her. This egg unexpectedly births Muka-Muka, a green dinosaur who becomes pivotal to the family.

Warm, approachable, and sometimes clumsy, Souko exhibits unwavering dedication to his family. He leverages his animal care expertise to handle Muka-Muka’s mischief, such as attempting DIY dentistry with adhesive—a comedic mishap—or hiding the dinosaur under his clothes to avoid scrutiny. After a local professor's time-machine experiment, Souko, Uiba, Muka-Muka, and others are thrust into prehistoric times.
