Description
Customer Service, also known as the N.M.E. Sales Guy, is the primary spokesperson and salesman for Nightmare Enterprises (N.M.E.), an intergalactic corporation specializing in monster sales. He holds a high-ranking position within the company, second only to eNeMeE (Nightmare), and spearheads revenue generation through transactions with clients across the universe. His role involves managing customer accounts, recommending appropriate monsters for specific tasks, and ensuring payment collection. He frequently refuses service to King Dedede due to unpaid debts exceeding 19 million, once dispatching a ghost to collect overdue payments.

Typically appearing on communication monitors from the chest up, he presents a tall, professional image with pale gray skin, a prominent chin, and purple hair featuring green stripes. His standard attire is a navy blue suit, a lavender or pink tie, and orange-lensed sunglasses obscuring his eyes. Despite the obscured eyes, his expressive brows and hand gestures convey significant emotion. His true stature is revealed in the series finale as short and squat, lacking legs and featuring large, round lavender feet similar to Kirby’s. Exceptions include wearing a traditional orange kimono during New Year’s celebrations and red-framed, blue-lensed sunglasses in one episode.

His personality differs between versions. The Japanese portrayal shows consistent politeness and honorific language, even with subtle insults. The English dub presents him as brash and manipulative, employing slang and aggressive sales tactics reminiscent of a stereotypical used-car salesman. He demonstrates unwavering loyalty to eNeMeE, addressing him with utmost respect. While maintaining professionalism, he secretly mocks King Dedede’s gullibility, privately calling him "King Sucker." He occasionally assists Dedede in plotting against Kirby but prioritizes profit over the schemes' success. Despite his antagonistic sales role, he exhibits impartiality in non-sales contexts, such as disqualifying Dedede for cheating during a quiz show.

Throughout the series, he orchestrates numerous attempts to eliminate Kirby, often disguising monsters as gifts or beneficial items—embedding Denjaa in a cake or concealing Chuckie within a jack-in-the-box. His strategies include luring Kirby to N.M.E. headquarters for destruction, though Kirby’s allies or unforeseen events thwart these plans. A significant humiliation occurs when Knuckle Joe tricks him into sending the monster Masher, only for Joe to betray and destroy it. In the finale, he facilitates Kirby’s arrival at eNeMeE’s fortress, taunting Dedede and Escargoon after their inadvertent betrayal of Meta Knight’s attack plan. His true physical form is exposed during this confrontation, leading Dedede to force-feed him repulsive food as retribution for years of financial exploitation. Following Kirby’s defeat of eNeMeE, he flees the exploding fortress; screams heard during the explosion in the Japanese version imply possible demise, leaving his ultimate fate ambiguous.

Outside the anime, he makes a cameo appearance in the sub-game "Strato Patrol EOS" from *Kirby Mass Attack*, appearing alongside the Holy Nightmare logo in the Japanese version. International releases replace the logo with a silhouette of Nightmare.
