Description
Falalà forms one half of the inseparable duo Fololo & Falalà. These small, flying, tear-drop-shaped creatures reside in Castle Dedede, serving Sir Ebrum, Lady Like, Tiff, and Tuff by assisting with housework. Their origin traces back to the monster Fofa, created by Night Mare Enterprises, who was forcibly split into Fololo and Falalà by Slice n' Splice, though they retain no memory of this event.
Fololo and Falalà possess identical personalities marked by helpfulness, bravery, and strong loyalty. They frequently aid Kirby, Tiff, and Tuff, utilizing their flight capability to act as scouts or lookouts. Despite their small size and limited combat skills, they demonstrate courage in dangerous situations, such as venturing into Babagahara jungle to find a cure for an unconscious Kirby or confronting monsters threatening their friends. They staunchly refuse to separate, emphasizing their unity with the phrase, "We may have two bodies—but we got one heart." This bond faces a test in "The Fofa Factor," where they briefly split to protect split Kirbys from Slice n' Splice and later choose to use a magical staff to restore Kirby instead of reuniting into Fofa.
Their relationships are defined by deep loyalty to Tiff's family, whom they have served since Tiff's infancy, and a friendly rapport with Kirby, often seen flying alongside him. They harbor disdain for King Dedede and Escargoon, though Escargoon occasionally recruits them for schemes against the king.
Throughout the series, Fololo and Falalà play supporting roles, aiding in reconnaissance, rescue missions, and logistical tasks. Notable episodes include "Island of the Lost Warrior," where they accompany Kirby and the siblings to a deserted island, and "Flower Power," where they join Tuff to retrieve the Pukey Flower despite their fears. They pledge to join Meta Knight's crew aboard the Halberd for the final assault on Night Mare's fortress.
Physically, Falalà is pink with a yellow bow, distinguishing her from the blue Fololo. They communicate in a synchronized manner, often finishing each other's sentences. Their flight is sometimes accompanied by a distinctive falling-pitch whistle sound effect in the Japanese version.
