Ishiha is a young eunuch serving in the inner palace. He possesses tanned skin, freckles, and appears around ten years old, dressed in the pale grey robes typical of palace eunuchs. He originates from the Hatan tribe in Rouko, south of Gei Province. Following the tribe's custom for many boys and driven by his family's need to reduce their financial burden, he was sent to the inner palace to become a eunuch, arriving at the start of spring. Initially assigned to Feiyan Palace, Ishiha's unique ability to see ghosts becomes significant when he encounters a spirit haunting his workplace. This ability prompts him to seek help from the Raven Consort, Ryuu Jusetsu. After reporting the ghost, Ishiha faces mistreatment from his master at Feiyan Palace. Jusetsu intervenes, securing his dismissal from that post, and subsequently takes him into her household at Yeming Palace. Her action mirrors how Emperor Gaojun once aided his attendant, Eisei. Ishiha's straightforward and honest personality reminds Jusetsu of Emperor Gaojun's youthful demeanor. His integration into Yeming Palace marks a shift in Jusetsu's adherence to her predecessor's rule against forming attachments.
