Prince Flower is the prince of Hookland, son of its ruler, Duke Fastener. He lives in a royal castle on the planet Calint. Button Nose, the protagonist, is his cousin.

He possesses turquoise hair reaching his chin, bunched near the ends, and consistently wears glasses. His royal status is signified by a crown and princely attire, always including a distinctive purple cape or robe. His design features the common Sanrio character aesthetic, with black dot eyes visible behind his glasses.

Intelligent yet timid, Prince Flower is an avid reader. The knowledge he gains from books frequently proves vital in helping his cousin, Button Nose, overcome challenges. One of his primary hobbies is baking bread, an activity he persists in despite frequent failures.

Following Button Nose's arrival on Calint, he forms a significant relationship with her. Alongside Clip (also known as Scooter) from a local cleaning shop, he becomes involved in various incidents and adventures. His role typically involves providing crucial support or insight derived from his studies, aiding in resolving conflicts or advancing their objectives within the original 1985-1986 television series.
