Description
Takeshi Tomoe begins as an improbable superhuman candidate: highly intelligent yet physically skinny, sensitive, and cripplingly timid, making him a constant target for high school bullies. This relentless torment triggers the initial activation of his ARMS nanomachine implant, deepening his isolation and intense self-loathing over his body and perceived cowardice. His life shifts dramatically upon meeting Ryo Takatsuki and the other ARMS subjects. This connection shatters his isolation, providing a vital sense of belonging. This new perspective fuels his realization that protecting his family and friends is paramount, transforming him into a brave, loyal, and effective team member.

His ARMS unit, designated White Rabbit, manifests primarily in his legs, granting extraordinary physical capabilities: incredible running and jumping speeds, seemingly impossible midair maneuvers, and flight reaching hundreds of feet. It enhances his combat effectiveness with astoundingly fast kickboxing powerful enough to shatter concrete and high-speed acrobatics. Demonstrations include weaving through the spinning blades of multiple helicopters and moving so rapidly that telepathically enhanced opponents could not anticipate him. The White Rabbit nanomachines accelerate his healing far beyond normal human limits. Its ultimate form manifests as a winged humanoid capable of supersonic flight, serving as a contingency against the Jabberwock ARMS. Additional capabilities include relativistic to potentially faster-than-light movement, absorption of energy sources like nuclear explosions, rapid evolution and adaptation in combat, and generating destructive shockwaves through midair vibrations. Durability feats include surviving a city-leveling neutron bomb detonation, attributed to innate resilience and accelerated regeneration. However, destruction of his ARMS core permanently disables this regeneration.

A critical development occurs when the mutant martial artist Kou Karunagi inflicts crippling injuries. This forces Takeshi and White Rabbit into a dormant, cocoon-like state. While the team battles within the Egrigori stronghold, Carillon Tower, he psychically communicates with Alice's compassionate aspect, White Alice. Later, when Ryo and the Jabberwock merge with the malevolent Black Alice, White Alice offers Takeshi immensely powerful weapons. He rejects enhanced destructive power, choosing instead to free White Alice from her isolation within the tower. Utilizing their combined abilities, they merge with the rampaging Jabberwock entity. This merger creates a conduit for White Alice to confront Black Alice directly, playing a pivotal role in resolving the conflict.

Throughout his journey, his exceptionally fast reflexes consistently complement his ARMS-granted abilities. His character arc culminates in a choice demonstrating selflessness: rejecting raw power in favor of empathy and connection by freeing White Alice. This act underscores his transformation from a victim into a hero defined by protecting others and fostering understanding.
