Dino Tricera serves as a core member of the Dino Knights, prehistoric warriors reanimated by Earth to combat the Dragozaurs, an alien race intent on draining the planet's life force. Originally a Triceratops, he is reanimated from fossilized remains into a metallic warrior form, wielding the Tricera Spears of Jade, also known as Bone Daggers. He exhibits significant enthusiasm for battling the Dragozaurs, relishing every clash alongside comrades like Dino Stego.

A pivotal transformation occurs when he receives an energy boost from the legendary Dino Rhamph. This power revitalizes him into an Ultimate Dino Knight, granting enhanced capabilities and the new Triple-Threat Halberd weapon. With this halberd, he unlocks the devastating "Lightning Bolt Strike" attack, markedly increasing his combat effectiveness. This upgrade fuels a brief surge of heightened confidence.

His history stretches back 65 million years to the original prehistoric war against the Dragozaurs. Following that conflict, he fossilized alongside his fellow knights. He reawakens in the present era when the Dragozaurs return, resuming his duty as Earth's defender. Dino Tricera remains an active participant throughout the series' battles until the Dragozaurs' ultimate defeat. With their purpose fulfilled, he and the other Dino Knights revert to their fossilized forms.
