José Manuel Cantor was a Colombian voice actor and announcer with a career spanning over three decades. Born on December 24, 1970, in Bogotá, Colombia, he began his professional work in the world of radio soap operas, dubbing, and voice-over in 1988.

Cantor became a prominent figure in Latin American dubbing, recognized for his deep voice and versatility. His work encompassed a wide range of characters in anime, animated series, films, and video games. He was also known for dubbing famous live-action actors such as Marlon Brando and Richard Burton in various film redubs and projects.

In the realm of anime, Cantor contributed his voice to a variety of series and films. He voiced multiple characters in the Casshan franchise, including Buraiking Boss (BK1), the Narrador, and the commander Sagrey. For the film Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie, he provided the voice for the character Thunder Hawk, as well as the villain Balrog, in the Colombian dubbing. He was the voice of the antagonist Dr. Scarecrow in the magical girl series Super Doll Licca-chan and played Dino Tricera in Dinozaurs: The Series. Another notable role was Wally Tusket, a comedic character in the series Ultimate Muscle (known as Kid Músculo in Spanish).

His extensive filmography also included significant roles in other popular anime. He voiced several characters in Samurai X (Rurouni Kenshin), including Hannya and various additional voices.
